My Morning Run. Grace for Ramblers

This was my favorite song during my 18 mile run. The studio version has a little more 'giddy up' to it.

Grace for Saints and Ramblers by Iron and Wine.
My favorite line from the song (I have no idea what the lyrics are about) is; "we were drinking with luminaries, eating with the missionaries".

Saint Borromeo. Mile 6

Hey, is that Modest Mouse's boat? Mile 7

My Morning Run. Recovery Time is a Swell Time

It was way too nice not to run today. Morning temperatures were in the high 50s! And, it's July 24th!
Still, the best part of many runs is the recovery. I may stay out here all day.

My Morning Run. I Run With the Corn

Today is Mattoon's Bagelfest. You run for the bagel. I'll run with the corn.
I don't know.

Still. I don't know.

And, still don't know.

By the way. I left my house at 5:30 and the temperature was already in the low 70s with humidity in the high 80s so yes the dew point was already "quite uncomfortable".

My Morning Run. Burl Ives and Will Rodgers,

Burl Ives rocked this town!

Immediately across the street from Burl is Will Rodgers. Seen better days.

Ms. Dew Point was at 72 and that was at 4:48 a.m.!

But, it looks to only get worse.

My Morning Run. Beautiful July Day (words I rarely say)

Running the bike path...again.

Retirement option?

15 miles in the books. The slowest points were stretching breaks. Lower legs were tight!

My Morning Run. Signs and Symbols.

This cute bungalow is being sold by owner "as is". Not a positive way to sell a house, I'd say.
Spotted west of town. Well done!
And, right across the street was this. I didn't look to see if the eggs were inside.
Not everyone in Illinois likes our president. I'm not sure what that top word is but I'll bet it isn't positive.
Today's route. Tired legs left over from the blistering four miles on the Fourth.

4 On The 4th, 2013

It wouldn't be 4 On The Fourth without Garrett's running; Aaron, Blake and Meagan.

Coming into the square or 'downtown' Charleston just shy of mile 2.

Following Cameron Garrett between mile 2 and 3.

As usual the Bowers manning mile 3 aid station.

Just over 32 minutes for 4 on the Fourth, I'll take it.

Saying hello to the geese on my way home.

My Morning Run. This is July?

Foggy run today.

Oh, you silly geese!

Based on the weather - at 8:00 a.m. it was foggy and 66 degrees - if it really is July, I must be in England.

My Morning Run. I Know Which Way to Run

No pictures today, just a video of one of the songs from today's running playlist.
